about me

hi! my name is anna wood. i am a self-taught artist from the midwest and have been making art since I could hold a pencil.
i have always loved animals, and after spending a few years working in dog grooming and training i wanted to step outside my comfort zone and connect my love of animals and art. i sold one of my first pet portraits in 2020 and have been honing my skills ever since!

terms of service

  • full payment is required upfront. once it has been received, i will begin working on your piece.

  • each portrait has its own turnaround time which will be established before the piece is started. if you need it to be completed by a certain date, please communicate that. if a complication comes up and i am unable to meet this time frame, i will let you know as soon as possible and provide a new time frame.

  • i am happy to make up to three small changes to your portrait within one week of sending the completed piece.

  • once the piece is completed and sent, i do not offer refunds as i have spent time and work into completing it.

  • you are welcome to do whatever you'd like with your piece, including getting it printed. that being said, printing is not my specialty and i cannot guarantee or take responsibility for the quality or price of printing as it varies greatly. (if you are also not very familiar with printing, i recommend finding a local printing company that can help achieve the best quality possible.)

  • each portrait is created at 300dpi and sent to you as a jpg file. my standard sizing is 5"x7", but if you would like a specific canvas size please let me know before i start your piece. the canvas will be sized to 1.5x of your preferred sizing in order to maintain quality.

  • please try your best to send clear reference photos that capture the true colors and features of your pet. i can still work with low quality photos, but if there are certain details (example: the fur is lighter than what the photo shows, or the eyes are more green in the light,) let me know before i get started so that i can achieve the best likeness possible.
